Garphyttan's Erik Skog played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 83rd minute of play. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru's Anthony Alvarado managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ulf Wennerquist in the 93 minute of the game. The Peru fans cheered their team off the field, for while Garphyttan had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
