Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Enrique Hanot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 14th minute of play. Albert Jowsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nantwich's goalkeeper Enrique Hanot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Albert Jowsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo Estebe in the 25th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Estebe in the 27th minute of play. Reynaldo Estebe took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Jonathan Venegas charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonathan Venegas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Estebe, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 44th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frazer Fordham in the 51st minute of play. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Enrique Hanot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Estebe in the 56th minute of play. With a little luck, Nantwich's Enrique Hanot got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 61st minute Reynaldo Estebe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Nantwich's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Hanot came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the game, Nantwich's Florian Ziemba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. If Albert Jowsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Nantwich defense, Patricio Costa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enrique Hanot. The Nantwich fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enrique Hanot should have stopped the shot. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Enrique Hanot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. 林悦傲's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. In the 84th minute Reynaldo Estebe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Reynaldo Estebe went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. In the 90th minute, Darryl Wedlock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nantwich's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Nantwich's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Hanot came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Nantwich had played much better football throughout.
