In the 25th minute, Valentino Ferrant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 40 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Marco Tamayo. When Lorenzo Yepes fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Salvador's protests and gave Lorenzo Yepes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Yepes to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 康杰傲 to make the kick off. Luis Rubio's late challenge caught a 特洛伊木马人's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. If Marco Tamayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 刘威昆 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Fernandino in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that 刘威昆 narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 78th minute, 康杰傲 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 81 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Magrina. In the 95th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Curbelo to maneuver through the defense.
