Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kyle Davies started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes Curacao got a freekick which was hit by Bertie Johnson. Cafu de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Davies, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Cafu de Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyle Davies, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Barrett was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Dorival Mota capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dorival Mota really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Curacao's Bruno Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival Mota in the 18th minute of play. Sydney Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanley Wallace in the 28th minute of play forced Marasco's goalkeeper Cafu de Queiroz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Haroldo Teles reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bruno Barrett. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 33rd minute, Stanley Wallace ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cafu de Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 37th minute, Marasco's Fábio Amorim seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Fábio Amorim the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Marasco protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Fábio Amorim had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Haroldo Teles put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bruno Barrett. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Haroldo Teles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Curacao's Bruno Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesinha Souto in the 53rd minute of play. After 54 minutes, Rocco Owen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Curacao and the Marasco players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Marasco booed when Curacao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rocco Owen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesinha Souto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Barrett having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Curacao's zone, Sydney Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Barrett came out of the goal and Sydney Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Haroldo Teles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the game, Marasco's Cesinha Souto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Barrett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. After having played for 64 minutes, Cesinha Souto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marasco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesinha Souto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute, Sydney Pires got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 69 minutes into the game, one of Curacao:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 76th minute, Rocco Owen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cafu de Queiroz. The goal made the score 5-2. Cafu de Queiroz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Troy Kennedy in the 79th minute. The audience was convinced that Haroldo Teles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruno Barrett was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Cesinha Souto struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Bruno Barrett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marasco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesinha Souto in the 90th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cafu de Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rocco Owen, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Marasco's Haroldo Teles has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 96th minute. When Haroldo Teles came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Marasco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo Teles couldn't finish the play. Troy Kennedy charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Troy Kennedy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Troy Kennedy hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Curacao players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Marasco.
