Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marian Pascaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Fălciu's Vasile Cârnațiu got a free kick in the 21st minute. Lautaro Mancebo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Filip Ivănescu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the Fălciu defense, Alberto Tafalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filip Ivănescu. The Fălciu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filip Ivănescu should have stopped the shot. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codruț Ababei in the 31st minute of the match. Fălciu's Filip Ivănescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Fălciu from getting a goal against them. After 47 minutes of play, Fălciu's Marian Pascaru made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
