The crowd rose to their feet as MZ Fénix's Cai Yuan Yuan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolando Noboa. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. Vladimiro Granja hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Pankracy Zajonc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pankracy Zajonc having to interfere. Rolando Noboa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cai Yuan Yuan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 23 minute of play. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MZ Fénix's goalie prevented a goal. Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pankracy Zajonc. Pankracy Zajonc dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Alonso Berganza made in the 36th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Moises Gayoso. In the 37th minute Cai Yuan Yuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cai Yuan Yuan kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cai Yuan Yuan in the 52nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Peru's Julian Murillo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pankracy Zajonc. That made the score 3-2 after 54 minutes of play. 57 minutes into the match, MZ Fénix's Cai Yuan Yuan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Noboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cai Yuan Yuan in the 61st minute of play. In the 61st minute, Cai Yuan Yuan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MZ Fénix fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. MZ Fénix's Alexandre Valido was substituted for Vladimiro Granja. A sloppy throw-in by Tomasz Waldoch in the 66th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Alonso Berganza. 68 minutes into the match, Cai Yuan Yuan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cai Yuan Yuan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cai Yuan Yuan in the 72nd minute of play. Cai Yuan Yuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cai Yuan Yuan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florin Dragușin in the 84th minute of the match. When Julian Murillo came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Murillo couldn't finish the play. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Peru's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because MZ Fénix had won, even though Peru had held more of the ball.
