To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Uğuralp Vasfi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 36 minutes into the match, A.C Barak's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Uğuralp Vasfi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vidal Domingo got free with Julio Vera in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of A.C Barak booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Spas Spitzmüller from long distance, 40 minutes into the match, got Julio Vera's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.
