With an all-out effort, Peru's Ján Oblak threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Julian Murillo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 26 minutes into the game, Nikos Vourlis threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ted Lasso's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jedrzej Ikalewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wittbach SSA's Ján Oblak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Julian Murillo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ján Oblak. The goal made the score 1-2. The throw-in from Feng Xiang Yun in the 40th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. A sloppy throw-in by Nikos Vourlis in the 44th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Peru's Julian Murillo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ján Oblak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wittbach SSA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Grzegorz Motowski in the 78th minute.
