Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Stig-Åke Söderman got the match started through his kick off. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Ingmar Håkansson made a huge save. Maximiliano Escribano scored 2-0 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ingmar Håkansson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 16 minutes into the match, Stig-Åke Söderman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stig-Åke Söderman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After having played for 20 minutes, Jaime Cazalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Cazalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Bruno Beldad fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uruguay's protests and gave Bruno Beldad a yellow card for diving instead. Bruno Beldad kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Francisco Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ingmar Håkansson was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Stig-Åke Söderman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute, Emil Holmberg made a precise shot to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Ingmar Håkansson made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. After 35 played minutes Vätö got a freekick which was hit by Emil Holmberg. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Vätö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Birger Henriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Emil Holmberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Francisco Seco took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Ingmar Håkansson to make any attempt to save it. 47 minutes into the match, Stig-Åke Söderman notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
In the 53rd minute, Birger Henriksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Vätö's Evert Sörman got a free kick in the 57th minute. Vätö's Ingmar Håkansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 59th minute of play. Ingmar Håkansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 61st minute of play. With 63 minutes on the clock, Kevin Carballal commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Uruguay:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vätö:s goal. Stig-Åke Söderman shot the penalty kick right outside the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 68th minute of play forced Vätö's goalkeeper Ingmar Håkansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stig-Åke Söderman scored 3-5 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Vätö's goalkeeper Ingmar Håkansson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 82 minutes into the match, Maximiliano Escribano notched a goal, 4-5, to the right of Vätö's Ingmar Håkansson. Ingmar Håkansson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 86th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. Ingmar Håkansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Arturo Carvallo hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Uruguay lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
