Vukašin Hadžiđulbić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Bennvar Galloway received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vukašin Hadžiđulbić came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Mariano Lacasa. But to his dismay, Mariano Lacasa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pinki Pied in the 19th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Pinki Pied came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 25th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vukašin Hadžiđulbić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tre Starka's Vukašin Hadžiđulbić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 33rd minute of play. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vukašin Hadžiđulbić having to make a save. Pinki Pied's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Thiago Pliego skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Tre Starka booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Pozo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Alan Tamayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vukašin Hadžiđulbić. Tre Starka's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Lacasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pinki Pied stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Mariano Lacasa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 54 minutes into the match, Tre Starka's goalkeeper Vukašin Hadžiđulbić had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vukašin Hadžiđulbić. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Frans Qvarnström kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 66th minute of play forced Tre Starka's goalkeeper Vukašin Hadžiđulbić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vukašin Hadžiđulbić didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Guillermo Fontirroig might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vukašin Hadžiđulbić. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guillermo Fontirroig ran back to his position shaking his head. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vukašin Hadžiđulbić having to make a save. Felix Garrido kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. A collision led to Tre Starka getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Dragoş Berbec hit a great ball. Dragoş Berbec scored 1-4 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thiago Pliego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 94th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vukašin Hadžiđulbić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerardo Pozo kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The Chile supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chile would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
