The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Temida Sf's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emil Ploshtakov came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th match minute, Temida Sf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dimitar Keremidchiev to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Mexico booed when Temida Sf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faiz Dhanabalan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Temida Sf's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emil Ploshtakov came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emil Ploshtakov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 33rd minute of play. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Emil Ploshtakov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 39th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, Temida Sf's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Emil Ploshtakov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 42nd minute of play forced Temida Sf's goalkeeper Emil Ploshtakov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lautaro Mancebo in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emil Ploshtakov prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, Temida Sf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vesko Balashev to maneuver through the defense. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Emil Ploshtakov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lyubomir Vladikov kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Temida Sf made a substitution. Huben Miloshev replaced Stanoy Pechenyakov. A collision led to Temida Sf getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Lyubomir Vladikov hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Temida Sf's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emil Ploshtakov came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 66 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Mancebo. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Emil Ploshtakov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Temida Sf's goalkeeper Emil Ploshtakov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Huben Miloshev in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Gaona to maneuver through the defense. Emil Ploshtakov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 92nd minute. In the 92nd minute, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
