Kálmán Ónodi's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kálmán Ónodi helped the player get up and apologised. János Moravecz had in the 20thth minute some difficulties stopping Tomas Illescas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wen Bing Liang in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armas Vapamaa in the 32nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Zalán Ibrahimovic kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 42nd minute Wen Bing Liang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Wen Bing Liang notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wen Bing Liang got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ludomil Bronkala was slow to take the kick. During this time SÉ SE's players had a chance to rest. Wen Bing Liang received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Wen Bing Liang slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 67th minute. In the 98th minute of the match Ludomil Bronkala sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball.
