Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Panait Oprea kicked off to start the match. After 3 minutes, Ştefan Isvoreanu made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marijan Ojdanić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the game, Panait Oprea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in ionion's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Abalos came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Patricio Costa fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Patricio Costa a yellow card for diving instead. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Panait Oprea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 20 minutes into the match, Panait Oprea dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant, 4-0. Fabio Abalos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. When Patricio Costa was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 26 minutes had been played. Patricio Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The throw-in from Niculae Moisescu in the 29th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas. Fabio Abalos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Venegas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabio Abalos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Salvador Gisbert hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, ionion's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Fabio Abalos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 44th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panait Oprea in the 55th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute Panait Oprea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute, Panait Oprea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. 63 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabio Abalos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 64th minute. Taner Zübeyr thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Fabio Abalos, a very annoying self made goal in the 64th minute which led to 5-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panait Oprea in the 67th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 75 minutes, Marijan Ojdanić managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ionion's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marijan Ojdanić was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Panait Oprea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Tomas Illescas charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Illescas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. When Grigore Pădure came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the ionion fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Grigore Pădure couldn't finish the play. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Fabio Abalos made a huge save. There was no doubt that ionion were the better team. ionion's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
