Uruguay:s Joaquin Gayoso showed great skill when he stopped Lachezar Dzhevov:s penalty. When Guará FC's Ronaldão Paulista in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uruguay's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldão Paulista in the 13th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiago Gabriel Vieira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joaquin Gayoso came out and tried to block the shot, but Tiago Gabriel Vieira slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 15th minute. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldão Paulista in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Francisco Seco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Kevin Carballal kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Tiago Gabriel Vieira made a precise shot to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After 35 played minutes Guará FC got a freekick which was hit by Kristian Beckenbauer. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Gabriel Vieira couldn't finish the play. After 42 played minutes Guará FC got a freekick which was hit by Lachezar Dzhevov. Francisco Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronaldão Paulista was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Alberto Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Cazalla in the 58th minute of play forced Guará FC's goalkeeper Nelsinho Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute Tiago Gabriel Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronaldão Paulista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Ronaldão Paulista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. In the 89th minute of the match Uruguay got a corner. Guará FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Cazalla ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Uruguay's corner Jaime Cazalla fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nelsinho Nascimento quite easily take care of the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Uruguay's Francisco Seco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nelsinho Nascimento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 94 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Seco. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Guará FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Uruguay for much of the match.
