Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítězslav Kršek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Velecký having to interfere. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Punišić in the 31st minute of play. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Rohozec's Filip Punišić. But to his dismay, Filip Punišić quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 43 minutes into the game, Kléber Lopes threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Campos Ramiro made a kick off. David Velecký showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Peru booed when Rohozec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bray Park didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute Filip Punišić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Xinto Palencia in the 68th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Velecký read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Peru's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Vítězslav Kršek scored to the left of an out of position Rolando Noboa, making the score, 2-3. In the 79th minute Campos Ramiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Velecký showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 81st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vítězslav Kršek got free with Rolando Noboa in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. David Velecký made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 89th minute of play. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. 93 minutes into the game, Eliáš Rohlíček threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Milagros Fraga quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The Rohozec supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rohozec would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
