In the 19th minute Bennvar Nobel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as American Airlines's Fabio Cannata slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 after 21 minutes of play. In the 25th match minute, American Airlines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrián Pádár to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 26 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Arvin Hökkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Arvin Hökkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 33rd minute of the match. Gabriel Rossi's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Rossi helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, American Airlines's Gabriel Rossi got a free kick in the 45th minute. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anoush Khalatbari's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bennvar Nobel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute Anoush Khalatbari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to American Airlines getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Anoush Khalatbari hit a great ball. American Airlines made a substitution. Lyuben Karavelov replaced Fabio Cannata. After a rather tough play, American Airlines's Anoush Khalatbari got a free kick in the 67th minute. Daniel Zorita in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arvin Hökkvist, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 72 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Arvin Hökkvist. American Airlines's Jonah Ryan was substituted for Bennvar Nobel. Arvin Hökkvist made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Darnell Metcalf kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of American Airlines's Arvin Hökkvist. Arvin Hökkvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonah Ryan in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonah Ryan took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. 94 minutes into the match, American Airlines's Darnell Metcalf sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
