Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nuno Coutinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Telmo Sesimbra got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-0. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Nuno Coutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nuno Coutinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute Américo Ramires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Campus Douro Academy's Nuno Coutinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of play. Ecuador's Diego Mancebo was substituted for Luis Andino. After 24 played minutes Campus Douro Academy got a freekick which was hit by André Valente. After 26 minutes Campus Douro Academy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Campus Douro Academy's Nuno Coutinho did a great save. 28 minutes into the match, Campus Douro Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Nuno Coutinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Nuno Coutinho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nuno Coutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of the match. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Manuel França got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 2-1. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Campus Douro Academy's goalie prevented a goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nuno Coutinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Telmo Sesimbra to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Telmo Sesimbra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Campus Douro Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Telmo Sesimbra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nuno Coutinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the game, Juan Sebastián Puig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Campus Douro Academy the free kick. In the 57th minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nuno Coutinho. Campus Douro Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After 64 played minutes Campus Douro Academy got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Brás. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Nuno Coutinho in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th minute Telmo Sesimbra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 73 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Américo Ramires came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo Sesimbra in the 77th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Campus Douro Academy's Adão Carvalheira. But to his dismay, Adão Carvalheira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Américo Ramires, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 92 minutes into the match, Américo Ramires notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ecuador players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Campus Douro Academy.
