Marcellus Walpert hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 8 minutes into the match, Olympique Fribourg's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Tristan Arioli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristan Arioli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tristan Arioli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luis Andino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Tristan Arioli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute, Agustín Saelices made a precise shot to the right of Tristan Arioli. Olympique Fribourg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Omar Bünder fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olympique Fribourg's protests and gave Omar Bünder a yellow card for diving instead. Omar Bünder hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Tristan Arioli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The Olympique Fribourg players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-1.

Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Florian Plouffe's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Olympique Fribourg's goalkeeper Tristan Arioli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Cristian Sancho took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Tristan Arioli to make any attempt to save it. 74 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Raik Topuz came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 76 played minutes Olympique Fribourg got a freekick which was hit by Marcellus Walpert. 77 minutes into the match, Olympique Fribourg's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Tristan Arioli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Ecuador's Agustín Saelices to fire away a dangerous shot which Tristan Arioli despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tristan Arioli in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The corner led Ecuador's Luis Andino to fire away a dangerous shot which Tristan Arioli despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Cristian Sancho hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florian Plouffe in the 93rd minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Olympique Fribourg.
