In the 14th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 15th minute, Caio Dante made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Paijo Sutrisna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute Warsidi Oktavianus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Warsidi Oktavianus made a kick off. SAPI FC were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tito Rangkuti took the corner. 54 minutes into the match, SAPI FC's goalkeeper Paijo Sutrisna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Paijo Sutrisna made a huge save. 71 minutes into the match, SAPI FC's goalkeeper Paijo Sutrisna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caio Dante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in SAPI FC's zone, Luis Andino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paijo Sutrisna came out of the goal and Luis Andino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paijo Sutrisna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of SAPI FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute Caio Dante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paijo Sutrisna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
