With a couple of smart ball manuevers Belarmino Viejo in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. 11 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Polonia's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Angelino Barba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16thth minute of the game Aquilino Velazquez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Club Deportivo Polonia fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Club Deportivo Polonia's Aquilino Velazquez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A sloppy throw-in by Luke Correa in the 20th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 21st minute of play forced Club Deportivo Polonia's goalkeeper Angelino Barba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abram Sarmiento in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelino Barba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belarmino Viejo in the 22nd minute of play. When García Ramos fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Deportivo Polonia's protests and gave García Ramos a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes Club Deportivo Polonia got a freekick which was hit by García Ramos. 28 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Polonia's goalkeeper Angelino Barba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Axel Montenegro. Club Deportivo Polonia's Angelino Barba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Club Deportivo Polonia from getting a goal against them. Angelino Barba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santino Seco in the 30th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Axel Montenegro could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Angelino Barba however easily saved by the left post. Santino Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Angelino Barba made a huge save. The supporters of Club Deportivo Polonia booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute of the match, Axel Montenegro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Angelino Barba was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. Abram Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelino Barba having to interfere. 54 minutes into the game, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelino Barba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquilino Velazquez in the 57th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th match minute, Club Deportivo Polonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Álvaro Carmona to maneuver through the defense. Luke Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The supporters of Colombia booed when Club Deportivo Polonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Álvaro Carmona didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 66th minute of play forced Club Deportivo Polonia's goalkeeper Angelino Barba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Colombia's Axel Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Angelino Barba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Belarmino Viejo in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Maurino Esperta came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelino Barba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Club Deportivo Polonia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
