If Zygmunt Pyrtek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Herbalists Opole's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karol Karbowski came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Stasio Borowski scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 0-3. Sylwester Barna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karol Karbowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zygmunt Pyrtek in the 96th minute. The Venezuela fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Herbalists Opole were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
