The supporters of Ecuador booed when Herbalists Opole was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedykt Cieliczka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Czeslaw Pisarczyk came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Herbalists Opole's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. After some careless play in the Herbalists Opole defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Czeslaw Pisarczyk. The Herbalists Opole fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Czeslaw Pisarczyk should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-7.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Czeslaw Pisarczyk was a little too slow when Cristian Sancho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-8. After having played for 56 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Czeslaw Pisarczyk was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-11 in the 63 minute of play. In the 67th minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Czeslaw Pisarczyk. The goal made the score 0-12. Juan Sebastián Puig received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Czeslaw Pisarczyk came out and tried to block the shot, but Juan Sebastián Puig slotted it home off the left post making it 0-13 in the 70th minute. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Czeslaw Pisarczyk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Czeslaw Pisarczyk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 77th minute. In the 80th match minute, Herbalists Opole was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedykt Cieliczka to maneuver through the defense. Herbalists Opole's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Felix Montenegro scored to the left of an out of position Czeslaw Pisarczyk, making the score, 0-14. The crowd rose to their feet as Felix Montenegro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Czeslaw Pisarczyk. That made the score 0-15 in the 84 minute of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 0-16 without a chance for Czeslaw Pisarczyk to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Czeslaw Pisarczyk. That made the score 0-17 after 93 minutes of play. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
