An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustav Ekrot in the 22nd minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Navarro. Edmundo Espiga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Vrasidas Panaretos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 32 played minutes Edmundo Espiga could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-0 into the left cross. Edmundo Espiga did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Vrasidas Panaretos 41 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Gustav Ekrot in the 45th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Christian Sancho. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 46th minute of play forced Gris Maffian's goalkeeper Vrasidas Panaretos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valentín Carvallo's late challenge caught a Gris Maffian's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentín Carvallo helped the player get up and apologised. Valentín Carvallo hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmundo Espiga to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Gris Maffian getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Harry Engman hit a great ball. Sebastian Villa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Vrasidas Panaretos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Honduras's Sebastian Villa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vrasidas Panaretos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 60 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Gris Maffian's Vrasidas Panaretos. Vrasidas Panaretos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 64 minutes, Harry Engman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gris Maffian and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. 66 minutes into the match, Gris Maffian's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Vrasidas Panaretos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 played minutes Gris Maffian got a freekick which was hit by Alfons Wall.
