Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Cain Vieri made the kick off and thus started the match. Vinnie Jones kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Frits Heinel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 17th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Frits Heinel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frits Heinel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Attilio Torelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frits Heinel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 35th minute. A nice corner shot did that Luca Rouco got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Frits Heinel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 36th minute, Luca Rouco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cain Vieri got free with Dante Lacasa in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. Frits Heinel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 51st minute of play. A collision led to Palestra14 getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Attilio Penna hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 61st minute of play forced Palestra14's goalkeeper Frits Heinel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Frits Heinel quite easily take care of the ball. In the 64th minute, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Frits Heinel. Frits Heinel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. A collision led to Palestra14 getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Attilio Torelli hit a great ball. When Attilio Penna fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Luca Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Frits Heinel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frits Heinel came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Palestra14's Frits Heinel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 86th minute of play. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Palestra14's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. After 92 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Cazalla. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cain Vieri in the 96th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Palestra14 throughout the match.
