After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pepe Sarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 41st minute, Danilo Barrionuevo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Pepe Sarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Pepe Sarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Danilo Barrionuevo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Zorita in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pepe Sarro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Danilo Barrionuevo sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The supporters of KF Ballistet booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute, Antonio Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlton Boothroyd struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KF Ballistet.
