The referee showed Tage Classon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, The Mongols's Tage Classon got a free kick in the 4th minute. When The Mongols's Albert Hernström in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Salvador's goalie prevented a goal. Moises Fernandino's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Magne Smefeldt firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Hernström in the 14th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Marco Tamayo got a free kick in the 16th minute. Albert Hernström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Abram Luque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Hernström came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert Hernström, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Valentino Ferrant hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moises Fernandino got free with Magne Smefeldt in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Magne Smefeldt made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Moises Fernandino sent off a good shot on target. In the 41st match minute, The Mongols was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tage Classon to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Magne Smefeldt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moises Fernandino went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Luis Rubio hit a great ball. In the 62nd match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Leguizamo to maneuver through the defense. Albert Hernström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Albert Hernström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Zorita was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Moises Fernandino struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Magne Smefeldt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Salvador. Albert Hernström in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 79 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Hernström came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marco Tamayo during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 79 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Marco Tamayo. Albert Hernström in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 92 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Carvallo. The Mongols's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
