Magnus Löfdahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Magnus Löfdahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Magnus Löfdahl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Magnus Löfdahl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 19th minute of the match. In the 22nd match minute, Electric Sharks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnny Hansson to maneuver through the defense. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Herbert Ekblom fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Electric Sharks's protests and gave Herbert Ekblom a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Electric Sharks's Herbert Ekblom got a free kick in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of play forced Electric Sharks's goalkeeper Magnus Löfdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Electric Sharks the free kick. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Electric Sharks's Frank Gustafsson was substituted for Aan Aae. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Petersson in the 76th minute of play. Agustín Saelices's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Magnus Löfdahl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. After 79 minutes, Reine Åberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Electric Sharks and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Reine Åberg hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Agustín Saelices might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Magnus Löfdahl. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Agustín Saelices ran back to his position shaking his head. Electric Sharks's Magnus Löfdahl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Electric Sharks from getting a goal against them. In the 86th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. In the 89th match minute, Electric Sharks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carl Mellberg to maneuver through the defense. Frank Gustafsson took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1.
