The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edward Mcdonald was extremely unlucky when he, in the 4th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 郭德常 made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Cassius Byrne sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the USA defense, Noah Le Bret Maboulou kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Day. The USA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Day should have stopped the shot. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noah Le Bret Maboulou in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 郭德常 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Gutenberg's goalkeeper 郭德常 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cassius Byrne. Monty Rogers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 郭德常 having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Noah Le Bret Maboulou came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Gutenberg getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. 林然诚 hit a great ball. 郭德常 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald in the 28th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Noah Le Bret Maboulou in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cassius Byrne's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, 郭德常 skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cassius Byrne did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised 郭德常 33 minutes into the match. 郭德常 made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Cassius Byrne sent off a good shot on target. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gutenberg's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cassius Byrne was slow to take the kick. During this time USA's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Edward Mcdonald almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Gutenberg's 郭德常 did a great save. Daniele Cosi was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 44 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, USA's Cassius Byrne tried to score from far away in the 45th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cassius Byrne was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Monty Rogers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of 郭德常. Gutenberg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Monty Rogers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. In the 60th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 郭德常 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 62nd minute of play forced Gutenberg's goalkeeper 郭德常 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 郭德常 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 65th minute of the match. 郭德常 didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cassius Byrne went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 72nd minute of play forced Gutenberg's goalkeeper 郭德常 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 郭德常 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sam Campbell in the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Otto Kalev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 76th minute of play forced Gutenberg's goalkeeper 郭德常 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gutenberg's 郭德常 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 81st minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Gutenberg's Rodrigo Santos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Day narrowly saved just below the crossbar. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. Gutenberg's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bernabe Intxixu in the 86th minute. Gutenberg's 郭德常 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sam Campbell in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Santos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Day. USA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodrigo Santos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 5-3 when Sam Campbell sped through Gutenberg's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of 郭德常. Marco Baker hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
