Dante Lacasa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marius Macovei showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. MasterBets's Gigel Zăvoiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 18th minute of play. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after MasterBets's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MasterBets's Gigel Zăvoiu did a great save. After a rather tough play, MasterBets's Malcolm Dalkvist got a free kick in the 28th minute. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigel Zăvoiu having to interfere. The supporters of MasterBets booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Leoz didn't get a good kick on the ball.
