Takis Oikonomopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner ended in Axel Montenegro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Borneo Legacy's Takis Oikonomopoulos did a great save. In the 18th minute of the match Borneo Legacy got a corner. Colombia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aurelian Groza ran over to the corner to take the kick. Kılıçhan Dilazad made a great header on Borneo Legacy's corner, it was just that Colombia's Pedro Manzanares managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 33rd minute, one of Borneo Legacy:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Borneo Legacy. Borneo Legacy:s Takis Oikonomopoulos showed great skill when he stopped Axel Montenegro:s penalty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Charles De Ketelaere got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 41 minutes into the match, Charles De Ketelaere dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pedro Manzanares, 1-1. Antonio Indiano charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antonio Indiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 64th minute Borneo Legacy were awarded a corner. Charles De Ketelaere went to the cornerflag to take it. Takis Oikonomopoulos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Abram Sarmiento showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 66 minute of play. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
