Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Augusto Landero made the kick off and thus started the match. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Ilias Seichanidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ΟΦΗ's Ilias Seichanidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 10th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in ΟΦΗ's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilias Seichanidis came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 15 minutes ΟΦΗ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ΟΦΗ's Ilias Seichanidis did a great save. In the 17th minute, Facundo Cadaval got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 19th minute, Lautaro Mancebo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilias Seichanidis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Lautaro Mancebo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ilias Seichanidis having to make a save. In the 24th minute, Alberto Tafalla made a precise shot to the right of Ilias Seichanidis. ΟΦΗ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 27 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ilias Seichanidis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ilias Seichanidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Luque, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ilias Seichanidis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, ΟΦΗ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giorgos Bletsios to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by ΟΦΗ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. After some careless play in the ΟΦΗ defense, Alberto Tafalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilias Seichanidis. The ΟΦΗ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilias Seichanidis should have stopped the shot. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
52 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Ilias Seichanidis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Macos Graciani kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nasos Papadis in the 56th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute, Nasos Papadis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ΟΦΗ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. In the 59th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilias Seichanidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ilias Seichanidis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ilias Seichanidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 65th minute of the match. Ilias Seichanidis came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Luca Zorita. But to his dismay, Luca Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Macos Graciani hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Apostolis Kalopoulos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. 75 minutes into the match, Luca Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ilias Seichanidis. ΟΦΗ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luca Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. After 79 minutes ΟΦΗ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Lautaro Mancebo made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that ΟΦΗ's Ilias Seichanidis managed to reach the ball for a save. After some careless play in the ΟΦΗ defense, Luca Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilias Seichanidis. The ΟΦΗ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilias Seichanidis should have stopped the shot. When Augusto Landero came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the ΟΦΗ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Landero couldn't finish the play. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Ilias Seichanidis made a huge save. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ΟΦΗ throughout the match.
