The supporters of Ecuador booed when Club Atlético Ciclon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tibalt Abel didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Papo Abeitia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 44th minute of the game.
