Eduardo Fontirroig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but 石坚斌 made a huge save. 16 minutes into the match, 东莞新世纪's goal looked a bit too open when Julio Chicote came free, but 石坚斌 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Alejandro Villa in the 35th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by 东莞新世纪's 龙杰沙. 东莞新世纪's attentive 方正枫 managed to snatch the ball when Ismael Tejedor made a throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game. After having played for 43 minutes, 陶西坚 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 东莞新世纪's supporters crossed their fingers, but 陶西坚 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 肖誉洋 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute of the game Alfredo Ferrant made a throw-in which Eduardo Fontirroig played forward. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Mario Fernandino made the kick off in the second half. 石坚斌 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Fontirroig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 53 minutes into the match, Alfonso de la Cruz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of 石坚斌. 东莞新世纪's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfonso de la Cruz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 东莞新世纪's attentive 方正枫 managed to snatch the ball when Francisco Gallo made a throw-in in the 59th minute of the game.
