When Per Højrup fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stevnstrup's protests and gave Per Højrup a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 6th minute of play forced Stevnstrup's goalkeeper Benni Skovhus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nico-Pascal Kapteina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Stevnstrup's Nico-Pascal Kapteina was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 10th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. A collision led to Stevnstrup getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Eli Loskov hit a great ball. Benni Skovhus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benni Skovhus saved Stevnstrup from getting behind. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur Kiel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benni Skovhus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Stevnstrup's Benni Skovhus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 38th minute of play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Stevnstrup's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Stevnstrup's Nico-Pascal Kapteina fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arthur Kiel to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benni Skovhus. That made the score 1-2 in the 57 minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leif Puls in the 61st minute of the match. Eli Loskov hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Benni Skovhus successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nico-Pascal Kapteina in the 75th minute of the match. Stevnstrup's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Villy Bjørnsholm in the 76th minute. Stevnstrup's Per Højrup got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Stevnstrup booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benni Skovhus made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Stevnstrup.
