The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, 东莞新世纪 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 陈远誉 to maneuver through the defense. 陶棋岩 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Freixa having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Bolivia's goal looked a bit too open when 陶西坚 came free, but Camilo Freixa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Villa. An unexpected shot in the 23rd minute by Mario Fernandino got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to Bolivia getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Julio Chicote hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the game, 肖誉洋 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Camilo Freixa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 37 played minutes 东莞新世纪 got a freekick which was hit by 陈远誉. In the 39th minute, Eduardo Fontirroig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When 龙冰树 fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 东莞新世纪's protests and gave 龙冰树 a yellow card for diving instead. 龙冰树 hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 龙杰沙 kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The long shot by Mario Fernandino in the 43rd minute really tested 石坚斌's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The Bolivia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. 东莞新世纪 were winning 0-1.

In the 52nd match minute, 东莞新世纪 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 陶西坚 to maneuver through the defense. When Eduardo Fontirroig came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Bolivia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Fontirroig couldn't finish the play. 58 minutes into the match, Bolivia's goalkeeper Camilo Freixa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 肖誉洋. After 59 minutes, 龙杰沙 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 东莞新世纪 and the Bolivia players grew even worse after the yellow card. 龙杰沙 hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 肖誉洋 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Camilo Freixa made a huge save. Bolivia's Eduardo Fontirroig got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, 肖誉洋 fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a rather tough play, 东莞新世纪's 肖誉洋 got a free kick in the 85th minute. The supporters of 东莞新世纪 booed when Bolivia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Fontirroig didn't get a good kick on the ball. 肖誉洋 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 95 played minutes 东莞新世纪 got a freekick which was hit by 陈远誉.
