Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tostão Mota made the kick off which started today's match. A collision led to Janusze getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Barnaba Trzenzalski hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a free kick in the 6th minute. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bocho Bumbalov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Janusze's Bocho Bumbalov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 14th minute of play. Joel Gaona scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bocho Bumbalov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alberto Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Bocho Bumbalov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Janusze's Bocho Bumbalov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 21st minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Janusze's Bocho Bumbalov. Bocho Bumbalov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 24 minutes into the match, Janusze's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Bocho Bumbalov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bocho Bumbalov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 27th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tostão Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bocho Bumbalov having to interfere. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tostão Mota in the 35th minute of play. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Waldemar Brataniec tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 39th minute, György Hubina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bocho Bumbalov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Janusze's Waldemar Brataniec slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dante Lacasa. That made the score 1-2 after 44 minutes of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Bocho Bumbalov in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tostão Mota, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Waldemar Brataniec had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Waldemar Brataniec was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Bocho Bumbalov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bocho Bumbalov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Bocho Bumbalov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Bocho Bumbalov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Janusze's Sylwester Ostrowski was substituted for Waldemar Brataniec. Janusze's Wincenty Sokolski was substituted for Wieslaw Kempski. After 80 minutes, Wincenty Sokolski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Janusze and the Mexico players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wincenty Sokolski hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Janusze's Julian Sitko was substituted for Sizwe Phakathi. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Janusze's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bocho Bumbalov quite easily take care of the ball. Janusze's Bocho Bumbalov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mexico eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
