Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Horaţiu Găină made the kick off and thus started the match. 5 minutes into the match, ⚽RAE⚽'s goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Victor Andriescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Gigel Paveliuc got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. Lautaro Puig's late challenge caught a ⚽RAE⚽'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lautaro Puig helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 9th minute. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Horaţiu Găină tried to sneak it across the goal line. Axel Tasis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. An unexpected shot in the 14th minute by Horaţiu Găină got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, ⚽RAE⚽'s Horaţiu Găină got a free kick in the 21st minute. Abel Carballo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Victor Andriescu. ⚽RAE⚽'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Axel Tasis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Horaţiu Găină came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the ⚽RAE⚽ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horaţiu Găină couldn't finish the play. ⚽RAE⚽'s Horaţiu Găină got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Axel Tasis charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Axel Tasis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. ⚽RAE⚽'s Toader Cojan was substituted for Luca Tache. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horaţiu Găină got free with Benito Sanz in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigel Paveliuc in the 45th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gigel Paveliuc went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gigel Paveliuc during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 54th minute, Gigel Paveliuc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when ⚽RAE⚽ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alin Moiș didn't get a good kick on the ball.
