Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eliazar Ungia in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 11th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's Jose Correa managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jacky Sproten in the 17 minute of the game. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Gabriel Ladio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Eliazar Ungia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Venezuela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Kfc Moerbeke-Waas a penalty, 38 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Andy Neeskens, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. 0-2. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Kfc Moerbeke-Waas's Douglas Douglas. But to his dismay, Douglas Douglas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Douglas Douglas to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Kfc Moerbeke-Waas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ventzislav Shebov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. 68 minutes into the game, Jacky Sproten was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kfc Moerbeke-Waas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kfc Moerbeke-Waas made a substitution. Giles Schockaert replaced Julius Bogaerts. Patricio Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gabriel Ladio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patricio Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. After 75 minutes, Lander Huveneers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kfc Moerbeke-Waas and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Kfc Moerbeke-Waas's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Ladio came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kfc Moerbeke-Waas walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
