Lautaro Morales made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chiquito Flores in the 13th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Chiquito Flores notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ψ S.F 25 de Mayo Ψ's Lautaro Morales. Lautaro Morales was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 17th minute of the game Thiago Machado made a throw-in which Oliver Petersson played forward. Oliver Petersson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Morales read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Rebelution's Agustín Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by He Song in the 23rd minute of play. The shot was a little too simple and Agustín Rossi could save by the left post. Oliver Petersson took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lautaro Morales. Lautaro Morales dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 36th minute Oliver Petersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Morales saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for He Song to strike the kick off in the second half.
