Javier Della Francesca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Marco Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the game, Fatbardh Malko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC Roma's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave USA the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sam Campbell got free with Cristoforo Brillante in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Javier Della Francesca hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute USA were awarded a corner. Jenson Smith went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Jenson Smith got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cristoforo Brillante quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
