They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kees Koole in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Cotilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berend Hermensen in the 75th minute of the match. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleksandr Vasyutin having to interfere. Constantin-Maximilian Vennegoor Of Hesselink's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Cotilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. The supporters of Revenge booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Sarmiento didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Constantin-Maximilian Vennegoor Of Hesselink. If Kees Koole had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Revenge's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Alguacil came free, but Aleksandr Vasyutin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Revenge supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Revenge would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
