Ralph Sanger was left in no man's land by his defense there! 6 minutes into the match, B O B I S A's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but Ralph Sanger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ralph Sanger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felix Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of play forced B O B I S A's goalkeeper Ralph Sanger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. 23 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ralph Sanger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 27th minute Georges Walpert suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 32nd minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Ralph Sanger. B O B I S A's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. B O B I S A's Ralph Sanger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 38th minute of play forced B O B I S A's goalkeeper Ralph Sanger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 43rd play minute Rudolph Bosch came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Julio Vera. 1-3. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Silvio Pfeifer sent off a good shot on target. Rudolph Bosch was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ralph Sanger was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 57th minute, Gerry Fleischer made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Ralph Sanger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 61 minutes into the match, B O B I S A's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Ralph Sanger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind B O B I S A's goalkeeper Ralph Sanger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerry Fleischer in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Rudolph Bosch hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Gerry Fleischer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ralph Sanger was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerry Fleischer in the 86th minute of the match. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
