When Luis Andino, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 6 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Nikos Nikolaou was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikos Nikolaou having to interfere. In the 13th minute of the match, Luis Andino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nikos Nikolaou saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 19th minute Eleftherios Poulis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, SAPSALOMADA FC's Nikos Nikolaou got control of the ball when Luis Andino tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute Juan Pablo Fuentes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nikos Nikolaou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of the match. In the 46th match minute, SAPSALOMADA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grzegorz Rostow to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in SAPSALOMADA FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nikos Nikolaou came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nikos Nikolaou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 58th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes SAPSALOMADA FC got a freekick which was hit by Grzegorz Rostow. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nikos Nikolaou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 67th minute of play forced SAPSALOMADA FC's goalkeeper Nikos Nikolaou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. SAPSALOMADA FC's Nikos Nikolaou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 76th minute of play. After 80 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Juan Pablo Fuentes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 81 minute of play. SAPSALOMADA FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Umur Sehhar in the 85th minute. The corner led SAPSALOMADA FC's Umur Sehhar to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some careless play in the SAPSALOMADA FC defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nikos Nikolaou. The SAPSALOMADA FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nikos Nikolaou should have stopped the shot. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eleftherios Poulis, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. There was no doubt that Ecuador were the better team. Ecuador's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
