The audience thought a goal was coming when Vintilă Mihuț got free with Benito Sanz in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filip Ciolpan during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Pardina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filip Ciolpan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, Vintilă Mihuț made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Pardina's Flavius Costache got a free kick in the 41st minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vlad Chihaia to make the kick off. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Ilie Stătescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Filip Ciolpan hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Tasis got free with Olimpiu Popan in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 81 minutes, Eliseo Noboa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Pardina players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 86th minute, Filip Ciolpan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Pardina getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Filip Ciolpan hit a great ball. Olimpiu Popan was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Axel Tasis. When Juan Rubio fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Juan Rubio a yellow card for diving instead. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Petrică Scutaru came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Costa Rica's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
