Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ola Håkansson took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Mexico booed when Woopbongo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mecnun Mengüalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Gaona took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valter Wallgren. Valter Wallgren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 11th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valter Wallgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 played minutes Woopbongo got a freekick which was hit by Pär Rudqvist. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valter Wallgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 17 minutes into the game, Mats Gerdberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Woopbongo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. In the 17th match minute, Woopbongo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mats Gerdberg to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Valter Wallgren in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Valter Wallgren successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 38th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Albohm in the 39th minute of the match. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Woopbongo's Valter Wallgren. Valter Wallgren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 52nd minute of play forced Woopbongo's goalkeeper Valter Wallgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ola Håkansson in the 58th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgar Albohm. 70 minutes into the match, Woopbongo's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Valter Wallgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Gaona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valter Wallgren having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 74th minute of play forced Woopbongo's goalkeeper Valter Wallgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Facundo Cadaval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valter Wallgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st match minute, Woopbongo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Törnqvist to maneuver through the defense. Valter Wallgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After 93 played minutes Woopbongo got a freekick which was hit by Peder Sundberg. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mexico had played much better football throughout.
