With a little luck, Honduras's Lautaro Navarro got control of the ball when Filippo Inzaghi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Germano Espinosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 18th minute of the match. In the 24th match minute, Adapazarı FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baran Vuralhan to maneuver through the defense. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Adapazarı FK's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filippo Inzaghi got free with Lautaro Navarro in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Germano Espinosa was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Ivan Navarro hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Adapazarı FK's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Germano Espinosa came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luciano Rodríguez made a kick off. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Rodríguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luciano Rodríguez in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. Moises Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Germano Espinosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 80 minutes, Luciano Rodríguez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Adapazarı FK and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Adapazarı FK's Luciano Rodríguez got a free kick in the 81st minute. Honduras's Christian Sancho quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ali Asım Bekdil, made in the 84th minute of the game. After having played for 90 minutes, Luciano Rodríguez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Adapazarı FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luciano Rodríguez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, Adapazarı FK could leave the field as winners, despite Honduras having more of the ball for most of the match.
