Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Edgar Miodek got the match started through his kick off. When Edgar Miodek came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the The Punisher fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Miodek couldn't finish the play. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Punisher's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Punisher's Ke Kun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Ke Kun. The Punisher's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 23rd minute, but Julio Vera got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Ecuador hanging dry this time. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 25th minute of play forced The Punisher's goalkeeper Ke Kun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ke Kun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of play. After having played for 35 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Edgar Miodek sent off a good shot on target. In the 40th match minute, The Punisher was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdir Martins to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Miodek, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Ecuador supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ecuador would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
