A sloppy throw-in by Emmanuel Reyes in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Bullen's Verner Hägert. Toni Schumacher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milagros Fraga in the 18th minute of the match. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Amador Merexildo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Fredriksson in the 23rd minute of play. In the 27th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toni Schumacher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A well-hit corner resulted in Eliseo Mina heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Toni Schumacher came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Milagros Fraga. But to his dismay, Milagros Fraga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Lopes in the 34th minute of the match. Toni Schumacher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After 35 minutes, Roland Topp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Bullen and the Peru players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Peru booed when FC Bullen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Topp didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Toni Schumacher was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. When Peru's Eliseo Mina in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Bullen's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. FC Bullen's Toni Schumacher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save FC Bullen from getting a goal against them. Tord Hökkvist got a throw-in 53 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Kurt Pååk. Edvard Sandström replaced Gustav Helander. FC Bullen's Andy Beckman was substituted for Gustavo Lopes. When Julian Murillo fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peru's protests and gave Julian Murillo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julian Murillo to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd match minute, FC Bullen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Merexildo to maneuver through the defense. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. After 84 played minutes FC Bullen got a freekick which was hit by Amador Merexildo. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philip Drake, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Amador Merexildo struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Bullen.
