The throw-in from Felix Garrido in the 13th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by The Obscurials's Fabian Spânu. Zheng Chao made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. If Anders Westerstrand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Felix Garrido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Ribeiro in the 33rd minute of play. Zheng Chao made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. The Obscurials's Zheng Chao proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save The Obscurials from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Ribeiro in the 46th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Adriano Ribeiro made the kick off in the second half. The Obscurials's Zheng Chao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 52nd minute of play. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zheng Chao. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. 54 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zheng Chao narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Adriano Ribeiro struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Thiago Pliego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Obscurials. Zheng Chao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 63rd minute of play forced The Obscurials's goalkeeper Zheng Chao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zheng Chao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 75th minute Anders Westerstrand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Fotis Kapiris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Obscurials's Angelo Eiró was substituted for Cliff Rowden. A collision led to The Obscurials getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Fotis Kapiris hit a great ball. Orlando Casaus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zheng Chao having to make a save. Guillermo Fontirroig blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zheng Chao having to make a save. Lawrance Grandison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 96 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zheng Chao narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chile's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
