Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Cassius Byrne took the kick off in the first half of the match. Marco Day didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adrián-Daniel Dobre went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Edward Mcdonald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Monty Rogers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goal looked a bit too open when Cassius Byrne came free, but Lyle Coppack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cassius Byrne was slow to take the kick. During this time USA's players had a chance to rest. USA's Jacob May was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lyle Coppack in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Adrián-Daniel Dobre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the game, Carlos Mei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Marco Day was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Mei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's attack was well implemented in the 22nd minute, but when Mihăiţă Stolniceanu was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. The supporters of Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely booed when USA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zach Harrison didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Day showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrián-Daniel Dobre, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Edward Mcdonald could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Lyle Coppack made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Lyle Coppack successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cassius Byrne's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lyle Coppack firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 46th match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zach Harrison to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, Ediberto de Queirós sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and USA's Marco Day didn't even have to move. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of USA booed when Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Flinck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihăiţă Stolniceanu in the 62nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Carlos Mei's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Lyle Coppack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sam Campbell in the 79th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sam Campbell in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lyle Coppack saved Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely from getting behind. Lyle Coppack showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 82nd minute of the match. Sam Campbell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lyle Coppack read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihăiţă Stolniceanu in the 89th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Carlos Mei came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Mei couldn't finish the play. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. Lyle Coppack showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Khalid Parry in the 93rd minute of the match. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
